Last Sunday, I went out for a walk in the park near my house. The park was filled with families enjoying the beautiful day. As I sat on a bench, I saw a family with two children. The children were playing together, but they suddenly got into a huge fight. The older brother told his younger sister to sit down and be quiet. When she asked why, he said, “Because I said so!” This is a common response to a child’s question, but it is one that perpetuates the idea that adults are always right and that children’s thoughts and feelings do not matter. I was able to talk to this family and I found out that the child is being bullied in school and the child is afraid to tell the parents. So the child kept it hidden. In the same way, children go through the day with the same feelings, but they don’t express it. They don’t know how to express it. It’s important to remember that children are just as valuable and important as adults. They have thoughts, feelings, and experiences that matter, and children learn how to navigate these feelings by watching how adults navigate their own feelings. If you were to tell a child that they were doing something wrong for experiencing these feelings, you would be telling them that their feelings are bad and should not be shared. This would discourage them from expressing their feelings in the future. Also, it would teach the child that it is not okay to be who they are, which is a terrible message to communicate to a child. Taking the time to talk with your child about their feelings, whether they are positive or negative, will help them grow to be confident and well-adjusted adults. We are all dealing with stress and uncertainty right now. It is important to remember that, when parents are struggling, it is harder to be patient and understanding with your children. But by taking the time to talk with them and really listen to what they are feeling, you can help them to work through their feelings and give them a safe place to express themselves. One of the ways you can do that is by setting aside time each day to talk with your child about their day, what happened at school, and what’s going on in their lives. This can help to create an environment in which your child feels comfortable talking with you about anything.

This is a stressful time for everyone, so it is important to remind yourself to have patience and understanding with your children, and with yourself. Remember that you’re doing the best that you can, and that’s all you can ask of yourself. If you need help, don’t be afraid to ask for it. If you need a break, take one. If you need help with your children, ask for it. Parenting is hard work, and it’s okay to need help sometimes. Remember that it’s okay to not be perfect, and that it’s okay to take care of yourself as well as your children.

If your child is upset, try to stay calm and let them talk. 4. Offer support: Let your child know that you are there for them no matter what. You don’t have to agree with everything your child says, but it’s important for them to know that you love and support them no matter what.

Remember, it’s important to encourage your child to talk to you about their feelings, especially when they’re upset. Listening to your child’s feelings and validating them will help them feel understood and accepted. Remember to take care of yourself, too! We can learn to be at peace with who we are and what we feel. The only way to peace is through acceptance of who we are, embracing our emotions and being in control of our emotions. To be at peace is to accept ourselves and our emotions, and to let go of the need to be someone we are not. If we are at peace, we are at one with ourselves and the world around us. We are in control of our emotions, our thoughts, our actions, and our lives.

As of 2012, the U.S. had the highest incarceration rate in the world, with about 2.3 million people in prison or jail and about 7 million under some form of correctional supervision.
